Norman Crawford was a respected evangelist, Bible teacher and Christian author whose faithful ministry extended throughout North America and overseas. Saved as a young man during gospel meetings in Toronto, Canada, he was deeply moved by the truth of Christ's substitutionary death. At eighteen, he was commended to full-time gospel service by assemblies in the Toronto area, devoting his life to preaching the gospel and teaching God's Word.
His evangelistic labours included pioneering gospel work in Michigan, Ohio and beyond, resulting in many souls being saved and new assemblies established. Known for his warm, Christlike character and careful exposition of Scripture, he was also deeply committed to local assembly testimony. He authored The Gospel of Luke in the What the Bible Teaches series and Gathering Unto His Name, an influential study of assembly principles. He also served for many years as editor of Truth & Tidings. His life and ministry reflected a deep love for the Saviour and a genuine care for the Lord's people.
