The Use of Time

The aim of this book is to explore the value of time to a Christian and to reflect on the areas of life where this precious commodity should be most valued. The author writes:

“I might sound a little warning note about time wasting, or the relative brevity of time in light of the coming again of Jesus Christ. I am not an expert on managing my time, and so this book is not aiming to compete with the many manuals and books that have been written about time management. Far be it from me to assume that level of expertise or competence.”

The point of this book is reflected in the truth of Romans 13:11–14:

“Knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day …” (Rom. 13:11–13 NKJV).
