Ian Steele has devoted many years to preaching and teaching the Word of God throughout Scotland. A dedicated Bible teacher, he spent much of his Christian service leading a local Bible class, developing a particular interest in helping younger believers understand the Scriptures.
Known for his clear, practical and Christ-centred teaching, he contributed articles to Believer's Magazine and authored several volumes in the Pocket Commentary series published by John Ritchie, including expositions of Ruth, Colossians and 1 & 2 Thessalonians. His writings aim to make biblical teaching accessible and encouraging to students of Scripture.
Jack Hay was commended to the grace of God by the assembly in Prestwick, Scotland, in 1972. For many years, he was involved primarily in pioneer evangelism in the County of Perth, Scotland. In the late 1980s, he began travelling more extensively among the assemblies in the four nations of the UK, engaging in both Gospel work and Bible teaching. This ministry has continued to the present day.
From the mid-1990s, he began receiving invitations to minister overseas. In particular, since 2006, he has sought to visit the island of Sri Lanka twice a year, a country that remains especially close to his heart.
He and his wife, Lillian, have been married for over 50 years. They have two married daughters and six grandchildren.
