Oscar's Wings

Oscar's Wings is an exciting adventure story for children aged 8–12, following a Northern Saw-whet Owl born in captivity who dreams of freedom.

Oscar longs for the day when he can escape his enclosure and the cruel aviary owner, Miserly Shakes, to live among the birds of Mucklewood Forest. The forest birds have carefully planned a daring rescue mission, code-named Operation Flight, to make Oscar's dream a reality.

But many obstacles threaten their plan. Charlotte, the Wood Pigeon who first conceived the mission, suddenly disappears. The Hooded Crows of Dark Moor are plotting to take over Mucklewood Forest for themselves. Meanwhile, Miserly Shakes decides to move the captive birds into a cabin while he renovates the aviary, making escape even more difficult.

As if that were not enough, a mysterious large bird arrives in the forest, leaving everyone wondering whether it is friend or foe. Will Oscar and the other captive birds ever achieve the freedom they long for?

Each chapter includes a lesson drawn from the Bible, together with accompanying Scripture verses, helping young readers connect the story's themes with God's Word.
