Made in His Image

The abortion debate raises sensitive questions about the value of human life, when life begins and how Christians should respond to those facing difficult decisions. In Made in His Image, Dr Philip Mullan examines these issues from a biblical perspective, emphasising the importance of speaking the truth in love.

Drawing on his experience as a GP working with women facing unplanned pregnancies, the author combines medical insight with biblical teaching to explore the wonder of human life, the development of the unborn child and the belief that every person is made in the image of God.

The book considers the reality of abortion and the ethical questions surrounding it, before turning to practical and compassionate alternatives. Particular attention is given to caring for unborn children, supporting mothers, responding to extremely difficult circumstances and showing love to those affected by abortion.

Throughout, Dr Mullan reminds readers that every human life is valuable in God's sight, including the unborn child, the mother facing an unexpected pregnancy and those who have previously had abortions.

Made in His Image is a helpful resource for Christians seeking to understand the Bible's teaching on abortion and respond to this sensitive subject with conviction, compassion and Christlike love.
