How many times have you heard that question - “How did it all begin?” Every thinking person wonders at some time about the origin of the world and how life began. Sadly when presented with man’s answer in the “Theory of Evolution” it appears that the majority of people stop thinking! Do we really believe that a single particle about the size of a speck of dust yet equal to the mass of the universe suddenly exploded to cause worlds to emerge and life to be formed? Where did it come from anyway? Science states that life can only come from life and not from something dead! The biblical answer is that everything began with God! “He is the Beginning ...”(Colossians ch.1 v. 18).

“The heavens are the work of His fingers.” (Psalm 8 v.3). God made man out of the dust of the ground. The God who is life “breathed into man the breath of life and he became a living soul” (Genesis ch.2 v.7).

The complexity of human life causes the thinking mind to conclude that it could not have happened by chance. It was the design of an infinitely intelligent Being who made us in His image and likeness. (Genesis ch.1 v.26). Sadly that likeness has been spoiled through sin so that violence, corruption and selfwill have become prominent in our world. A first century missionary said “in Him we live and move and have our being” (Acts ch.17 v.28). We are dependent upon God and we are accountable to Him as our Creator!

Men have turned their backs upon God and worshipped the creature more than the Creator (Romans ch.1 v.25). They did not even want to retain God in their knowledge (Romans ch.1 v.28) and as a result we have today many anti-God theories which deny the existence of the Great Creator!

The evidence for God is all around us, being understood in the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead (Romans ch.1 v.20). How will you respond to your Creator? He calls you to repent from your sinful ways and to turn by faith to His Son Jesus Christ who died for our sins at Calvary (Acts ch.17 vs.29-31).

If you do that God will make you a new creation when old things will pass away and all things will become new (2 Corinthians ch.5 v.17).
