Ruth Chesney

Ruth Chesney is a Christian author and optometrist with a particular interest in encouraging young believers in their spiritual growth and daily walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. Saved at the age of eleven, she developed an early habit of reading the Scriptures and praying daily, which has remained an important part of her Christian life.

She is the author of Climb: A One-Year Devotional for Teens and Young Adults (2020), published by John Ritchie Ltd. Drawing on biblical teaching, Christian biographies, personal experiences and practical illustrations, her writing addresses the challenges facing young Christians and encourages them to develop a deeper relationship with the Lord. Through accessible, thoughtful and engaging daily readings, Ruth seeks to inspire a love for God's Word and a wholehearted commitment to Christian living.
