Jim Allen

Jim Allen (d. 2021) was a gifted Bible teacher, evangelist and author from Northern Ireland. Saved at the age of seventeen through meetings associated with Bleary Gospel Hall, County Armagh, he was subsequently baptised and received into assembly fellowship. Following a distinguished career in education, including senior teaching positions in Northern Ireland and Malaysia, he was commended to full-time missionary service in Malaysia in 1968.

For over fifty years, he faithfully preached the gospel and taught God's Word throughout the UK and internationally, becoming widely respected for his careful exposition of Scripture, scholarly insight and humble manner. His writings include commentaries on 1 Timothy and Revelation in the What the Bible Teaches series, alongside Daniel Reconsidered and Revelation Revisited, published by Scripture Teaching Library, which he helped establish. Despite personal bereavements and declining health, he remained devoted to the Lord's work until his homecall on 30 November 2021.
