Collection: George Whitefield

George Whitefield was born in Gloucester, England, in 1714 and became one of the most influential evangelists of the eighteenth century. Converted to Christ as a young man, he devoted his life to preaching the gospel throughout Britain and North America, becoming a leading figure in the Great Awakening.

Widely respected for his powerful, passionate preaching and tireless evangelistic efforts, he regularly addressed vast crowds in churches and open-air meetings. His ministry emphasised the necessity of the new birth, salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and the authority of Scripture. He continued faithfully preaching the gospel until his death in 1770, leaving a lasting legacy of evangelical revival.
