THIS VOLUME HAS ITS GENESIS in the Lurgan Conference, 201 7. On that occasion the theme of the Bible Readings was shepherding and the passages considered were John 1 0,Acts 20, 1 Peter 5, and Ezekiel 34.The response to the teaching of theWord of God during and after the conference made it clear that there was both a need and an appetite for teaching on this important and relevant subject, and this volume attempts to address the need.The chapters, by well known Bible teachers, provide a comprehensive overview of the topic from Genesis to Revelation, allowing the reader to appreciate, not only the teaching of individual passages, but the way in which this theme is developed throughout Scripture.The authors have developed truth as they have found it and, as a result, the reader will find in these chapters rich Christological and prophetic teaching as well as much practical counsel for shepherds – and challenges for the sheep.
