TWO WEEKS by Karen Kingsbury

A new release for fans of the Baxter Family Saga

Two Weeks is a faith-based story of what family really means

You'll be caught up in a tender-hearted story of faith and love

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury comes a heart-wrenching and redemptive new story in the Baxter Family series about a couple desperately waiting to bring their adopted child home and a young mother about to make the biggest decision of her life.

Cole Blake, son of Landon and Ashley Baxter Blake, is months away from going off to college and taking the first steps towards his dream--a career in medicine. But as he starts his final semester of high school he meets Elise, a mysterious new girl who captures his attention--and heart--from day one.

Elise has her heart set on mending her wild ways and rediscovering the good girl she used to be. But not long after the semester starts, she discovers she's pregnant. Eighteen and alone, she shares her secret with Cole. Undaunted by the news, and in love for the first time in his life, Cole is determined to support Elise--even if it means skipping college, marrying her, and raising another man's baby.

When Elise decides to place her baby up for adoption, she is matched with Aaron and Lucy Williams, who moved to Bloomington, Indiana to escape seven painful years of infertility.

But as Elise's due date draws near, she becomes focused on one truth: she has two weeks to change her mind about the adoption. With Cole keeping vigil and Lucy and Aaron waiting to welcome their new baby, Elise makes an unexpected decision--one that changes everyone's plans...

DEFYING JIHAD by Esther Ahmad & Craig Borlase

Defying Jihad is the true story of a girl growing up under radical Islamic rule, trained to believe her ultimate purpose was to serve Allah by dying as a jihadist. But two nights before she was to leave forever, she had a dream... one that would change the course of her destiny.

Against all odds, Esther became a follower of Jesus—even though leaving Islam meant her death sentence. But rather than kill her immediately, Esther’s furious father challenged her to a series of public debates with Muslim scholars: the Bible versus the Quran. If Esther won, she might yet survive. But if the Muslim clerics won, Esther must renounce her Christian faith. For an entire month—if she lived that long—Esther would be brought before the mob daily to defend her newfound faith. Would God give her the words to argue against Muslim leaders, former friends, and even her own family?

Defying Jihad is an amazing story of a woman prepared to surrender all for Jesus—and whose life transformed from terror to overwhelming love.

7 POSTURES OF CHRIST by Mervyn Wishart

Seven Postures of Christ is a series of gleanings from the four Gospels in which we are invited to marvel at the glory of our Lord Jesus displayed in various postures that He adopted during his earthly life. There is no subject more captivating for the Christian than ‘the things concerning Himself’ (Luke 24:27). We will read of Him stooping, lying, walking, sitting, standing, touching, and bowing his head in death on the cross. Joseph, the beloved son of Jacob, was given a coat of many colours; undoubtedly a picture for us of the many facets of the glory of our blessed Lord, the One of whom Peter speaks as ‘a living stone . . . chosen of God, and precious (1 Pet. 2:4), and‘achiefcornerstone,elect,precious’(v.6).HeisprecioustoGodbuthasnow become precious to us: ‘To you therefore who believe [is] the preciousness’ (v. 7 JND).

In this book the writer endeavours to draw together devotional studies, many of which by their very nature have a practical bearing on our lives. The studies are by no means exhaustive; the riches of Christ are unsearchable, His person inscrutable, His love immeasurable.

If the reading of these lines draws the reader closer to the Lord Jesus, then its existence will be justified.
